Kearsley Academy Students Show Robust Individual Performances

A number of students at Kearsley Academy, which converted to academy status under the sponsorship of Northern Education Trust, have shown outstanding individual performances at GCSE level.

Many students exceeded personal target grades in order to excel across a number of subjects. These students included Cher Wong, Lucy Foster, Ethan Smith, Ahsan Sheik and Jennifer Horn, amongst many others, who all secured some outstanding personal achievements.

As a Computing specialist, the academy was especially pleased with the fact that over 62% of students achieved A*-A grades in the IT subjects, a testimony to the Academy?s investment in technology.

Commenting on this year?s results. Suzanne Pountain, principal of Kearsley Academy, was keen to offer her congratulations and thanks to her teaching staff and students for the dedication and commitment they have shown. She said:

?We are very proud of all our students and recognise their individual achievements. All staff and governors wish students well in the next phase of their education.?
